Sage, Rosemary and Thyme Whiskey Ginger

If you happened to see my 10 Fall Inspired Cocktails article then you know I’ve had cocktails on my mind. You may or may not know but I am a whiskey drinker. I’ve concocted a wonderful whiskey drink with notes of sage, rosemary and thyme. I’ve infused these holiday/fall inspired herbs into a simple syrup that take a basic whiskey ginger into a delightful whiskey ginger.

Ingredients 2-4 sage leaves 4-6 sprigs of thyme 3-5 sprigs of rosemary 2 cups of water ½ cup sugar 1-2 shots of whiskey Ginger ale

Directions

  1. Add ice or a whiskey ice ball, if you want to be fancy, to a glass.

  2. Add 1-2 tablespoons of the herb simple syrup.

  3. Add1-2 shots of whiskey and fill glass with ginger ale.

Simple Syrup Directions

  1. Boil 2 water and stir in sugar.

  2. Add sage, rosemary and thyme.

  3. Turn heat down to medium, cook for 40 minutes.

  4. Pour herb simple syrup into a container and let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate. Best to refrigerate overnight.
